Race for the Gold with an A4 vocabulary revision notebook

This bundle contains the Race for the Gold 11+ vocabulary novel and the standalone A4 Vocabulary Revision Notebook. Children can build vocabulary through reading, then record selected words they genuinely want or need to revisit.

Race for the Gold is book two of the Cadwaladr Quests. Children should read Tangled Time first.

Bundle price: £15.99, reduced from £18.99. You save £3.

What’s included?

  • Race for the Gold: the second Cadwaladr Quests novel, with difficult words defined on the page and Knowledge Nuggets explaining SPaG and literary devices.
  • A4 Vocabulary Revision Notebook: space to record definitions, synonyms and antonyms, plus a bonus list of 1,000 11+ vocabulary words.

Please don’t try to learn every word in the novel

The on-page dictionary isn't a list to learn. It is there to help children understand the story without repeatedly stopping to consult a separate dictionary. They should read a definition when needed, then carry on reading.

The notebook is for selected vocabulary. One word brought repeatedly into conversation is far more likely to stick than a long list copied out and forgotten.

Who is this bundle for?

This bundle suits children who have finished Tangled Time and are ready to continue the Cadwaladr Quests. It also suits families who want a clear place to record and revisit selected vocabulary.

The bundle supports vocabulary preparation for GL, ISEB, SET, CSSE, Sutton, Tiffin, FSCE and CEM tests, as well as independent-school entrance tests and KS2 SATs.

After Race for the Gold, continue with Cat’s Eye. You can also see the complete Cadwaladr reading order.

Format: one paperback novel and one A4 paperback notebook
