This three-item bundle contains the Tangled Time novel, its chapter-by-chapter supporting workbook and an A4 Vocabulary Revision Notebook. It combines reading with comprehension, writing, SPaG and selected vocabulary revision.

The supporting workbook must be used with Tangled Time. It follows the novel chapter by chapter and isn't a standalone workbook.

Please don’t try to learn every word in the novel

The on-page dictionary isn't a list to learn. It helps children understand the story without repeatedly stopping to consult a separate dictionary. You wouldn’t read Harry Potter and try to learn every unfamiliar word, and children shouldn’t do that with Tangled Time either.

The notebook is for selected vocabulary. One word brought repeatedly into conversation is far more likely to stick than a long list copied out and forgotten.

Who is this bundle for?

Tangled Time is the main Year 5 starting point for the Cadwaladr series. It also suits confident Year 4 readers and children who want to begin the Quests without first reading the four Chronicles novels.

The bundle supports GL, ISEB, SET, CSSE, Sutton, Tiffin, FSCE and CEM preparation, as well as independent-school entrance tests and KS2 SATs.
